Now Some Soakers

No song accompanied the knitting of this gorgeous soaker, but it has brought back memories of DH's and my honeymoon five years ago. We visited the US then went on a trans Atlantic cruise stopping in at Gibraltar, Spain, France, inc Corsica, and Italy. We then visited Egypt, England and Hong Kong on our trip of a lifetime. On the cruise we had a week or so of lovely weather and smooth seas. One day was incredibly calm and beautiful- the lull before an almighty storm that lasted days. The seas were so rough that no one was allowed on deck and plates were smashing all over the place in the kitchens. We even missed out on our stop in Portugal because the port was closed. Such an exhilarating experience, and it is so good to see those stormy colours right here.

And The Songs Just Keep Coming

The song in my heart during the construction of these blank longies was My Favourite Things from The Sound of Music. Maybe it is the cream colour, as I have no idea what magic Katanya will be working with these.

Speaking of Katanya's magic, the launch for her new online Baa Bum store was friday night and a huge success. There were over 100 people who visited her site to see and hopefully purchase some longies.

Come Closer and See

I started this pair while we were still down in Melbourne and from the moment I cast on The Cure song, A Forest was stuck in my head. When I finally came home to my computer and CD collection I was able to imerse myself in their music which I really loved when I was younger.

Autumn Anyone?

I am so excited to be knitting these gorgeous autumn colours which have really whet my appetite for our trip to Melbourne next month. The wool is so smooth and beautiful to hold too. Will make a lovely snuggly pair of longies.
